The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important notice to all affiliated schools regarding the 2026 Board examinations. Schools are required to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) for Class 10 and Class 12 main exams by September 30, 2025.
For the first time, CBSE is implementing a two-board examination policy for Class 10 starting the 2025-26 academic year. The first Class 10 board exam is scheduled to be held in mid-February 2026, making timely submission of LOC critical for smooth exam coordination.
The board has emphasized that the LOC must include all students of Class 10, ensuring no candidate is left out. Schools failing to comply with this deadline may face administrative complications affecting their students’ eligibility to appear in the exams.
CBSE’s new instructions are part of its ongoing efforts to streamline exam processes and maintain transparency across its affiliated institutions. School authorities are advised to follow the official CBSE guidelines meticulously and submit the LOC within the stipulated timeframe.
