So called spiritual Guru Shri Shri Ravishankar and Swami Nityanand donate lakhs of rupees to the university
The educational institutes selling fake degrees are mushrooming in the country and the government has been unable to halt the clandestine deal between those who sell and those who purchase the fake degrees. Several Ministers in the country, including former Maharashtra Education Minister Vinod Tawade have obtained the fake degrees. As per the documents obtained by “Sprouts”, the so called spiritual Guru Shri Shri Ravishankar and Swami Nityanand have purchased fake degrees by shelling out lakhs of rupees.
Shri Shri Ravishankar, who calls himself a Spiritual Guru, preaches spiritualism to the world. He has crores of followers the world over. Despite this, he has obtained a degree from “The Open International University and Alternate Medicine”, which has been declared as fake by the Sri Lankan Government. Similarly, the so called spiritual Guru from Tamil Nadu from Nityanand has also obtained the fake degree. If the sources are to be believed, Shri Shri Ravishankar and Swami Nityanand have donated lakhs of rupees to this university to obtain the degrees. After a fake degree was obtained by Shri Shri Ravishankar, his disciples are following the suit and are obtaining the fake degrees from this university.
IBMS Institute’s open factory of fake degrees
IBMS Institute, headquartered in Andhra Pradesh, has opened its centres all over the country. It has hundreds of centres in every state. IBMS’s office in Andhra Pradesh is considered as the central headquarter. Its hundreds of centres are in Maharashtra. These centres are affiliated to “The Open International University and Alternate Medicine”, Sri Lanka. This university has already been declared bogus by the Sri Lankan Government and it does not figure in Sri Lanka’s UGC. The complaint against this university has not only been lodged with Central education department, but also with state education department and police. After conducting inquiry, the police has assured to take action against this university. However the state education department has been keeping its eyes closed. That is the reason such bogus educational institutes are openly functioning in the state.
Nepal’s Ex Chief Justice also obtains the fake degree
Ex Chief Justice of Nepal’s Supreme Court Deepak Raj Joshee, has also obtained a fake degree from “The Open International University and Alternate Medicine”, Sri Lanka. A Pune- based Abhishek Haridas has already complained about this to the Nepal Government.
Pakistan declares this university as bogus, but the business of fake degrees openly goes on in India
Pakistan Government has already declared the Open International University and Alternate Medicine of Sri Lanka as a bogus university. After that a decision to take legal action against this university has also been taken. But unfortunately in India, no action has been taken against this university. As such the questions are being raised if Pakistan can take action, than what prevents Indian Government from initiating firm steps against this bogus university? The education department at the centre and in the state is not serious about this.
If the Pakistan Government can take action against these type of bogus universities, than what the Indian Government is taking action ? The Union Education Minister and concerned officers have closed their eyes.
