Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has been summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Wing for questioning regarding her alleged involvement in the illegal streaming of IPL 2023 matches on the Fairplay App, a sister app of the Mahadev betting app, as reported by news agency ANI.
Bhatia has been asked to appear before the Cyber Cell for interrogation on April 29.
Reports also suggest that actor Sanjay Dutt’s name has surfaced in connection with the case. He was initially summoned for questioning earlier this week but couldn’t attend due to scheduling conflicts. Dutt has requested a new date for his appearance.
The illegal streaming of IPL matches reportedly resulted in significant financial losses for Viacom, amounting to crores of rupees, according to the news agency.
